Privacy Policy

LAST UPDATED: JUNE 9, 2025

1. Overview

QuikLink ("we", "our", "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

2. Data We Collect

When you sign in with Google, we receive and store:

  • Name and email address — from your Google account, used to identify you.
  • Profile picture URL — displayed on your public page.
  • Profile slug — auto-generated from your name; used as your public URL.
  • Projects and links — content you add to your page.

We do not collect payment information, location data, or track browsing behavior beyond basic server logs.

3. How We Use Your Data

We use your data exclusively to:

  • Display your public profile page at quiklink.app/[slug].
  • Authenticate you when you sign in.
  • Send transactional emails (only if you opt in — currently not implemented).

We never sell your data to third parties or use it for advertising.

4. Public Profile Data

Your profile page — including your name, picture, bio, projects, and links — is publicly accessible by anyone with the URL. Do not post information on your page that you wish to keep private.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Google OAuth — for authentication. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
  • Railway — cloud hosting provider. Data is stored on Railway infrastructure.
  • PostgreSQL — database used to store your account and project data.

6. Data Retention

We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will remove your data from our database within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data via your dashboard.
  • Request deletion of your account and associated data.
  • Export your data (email us to request a copy).

8. Cookies

We use a single session cookie to keep you signed in. We do not use tracking or advertising cookies.

9. Children's Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe we have, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes by updating the "Last Updated" date above.
